Westfield Football Club, based in Westfield near Hastings, England, was established before World War I. They joined the Sussex County Football League Division Three in 1997 but were relegated from Division Two despite not being in the relegation zone due to failing ground grading regulations. They now play in the Mid-Sussex League Premier Division at Knight and Davey Stadium, Westfield, where they moved in January 2024.
Westfield first joined the East Sussex League Division Two in 1971, finishing as runners-up in the 1972–73 season. They won a league and cup double the following season in Division One and repeated this feat in the Premier Division in 1977–78. By 1991, the club had returned to Division Two.
The club re-entered the Sussex County League Division Three for the 1997–98 season and was promoted to Division Two after finishing fourth in the 1998–99 season. They reached the final of the Division Two Challenge Cup in the 2002–03 season, finishing sixth, and placed third in 2006–07 but were not promoted due to the lack of floodlights at their ground.
In June 2022, Premier League footballer Steve Cook acquired a majority stake in the club. In January 2024, Westfield moved to their new community stadium at Westfield Downs, a short distance from their previous ground, the Parish Field.
As of August 2024, Westfield will have six senior sides competing in football, with the reserve, third, and fourth teams in the East Sussex Football League, the U18s in the Southern Combination Youth League, the veterans in the Hastings & District League.
A new 50-seater stand was officially opened on the 31st August 2024 and named “The Graham Drinkwater Stand ” in honor of club legend Graham Drinkwater with Graham and his family in attendance.
